Guys which is the best memory card to go for, as far as the biggest size and price?
So far I found 32GB SD for around R700, is SD the std then?

I don't get what you're saying. You'd buy whichever card you require, so your cellphone might take micro-sd and your camera might take an sd card. You'd buy the appropriate card for the device

ok, well, I got one of those super multi card readers and it can take just about any card, so I thought I just add a memory card and I got a super duper flash stick

I also have a digital photo frame, can take any one of these:

Memory Stick (MS) MS, MS Duo, MS PRO, MS PRO Duo, HighSpeed MS, HighSpeed MS Duo, MS Micro (M2) (with optional adaptor), MagicGate MS, MagicGate MS Duo, MS PRO-HG Duo
SD Card SD Card, SDHC Card. To be used with optional adaptor - Mini SD Card, Micro SD Card, Mini SDHC Card, Micro SDHC Card
MMC MMC, RS-MMC (with optional adaptor), MMC Plus
xD-picture Card xD-picture Card, xD-picture Card Type M, xD-picture Card Type H

So, I just thought, since it can handle so many card types, which one is currently the best and biggest for your money

SD is pretty much the cheapest. Sony kinda fails a bit with the MS and are pretty much the only ones using it. xD is for fuji cameras mainly I think. You could get micro SD and then you could use it in your phone, card reader and picture frame but SD/SDHC (high capacity) is a lot cheaper per gig.

SD is your best bet I think. But they are way slower than normal flash drives, so if you don't mind the speed, it's cheap for a super duper flash drive that's more versatile.

I would say so. MicroSD is pretty widespread. Sandisk is the top afaik.
Make sure you check the class (speed rating). Try not to buy a class 2.

Devices don't have multi-card readers; they take one or the other. Usually with micro/mini sd readers they will have adaptors for normal SD slots so you can use them as a normal SD. But do your research into what exactly your photo frame needs or you'll waste your money.
