does anybody know if we have SDSL available from Telkom (and at a resonible price). My IT guys in the USA are dumbstruck that we can get 4mb down, but only 512kb up

AFAIK Telkom currently use SHDSL for some of their higher speed diginet offerings. But get the lube ready because it is going to be expensive.

Asynchronous connections are the norm in the USA and other developed countries, so not sure why they would be dumbstruck.
