SDWAN - what solutions are you deploying?

Done one site as a POC with Fortigates, works fine, one link 10Mb fibre and other link LTE.

Here's a login to a demo setup from Fortigate:

I just used demo and demo for user and pass to log in

We already have a few fortigates on the network with internet breakouts, so just deployed a 60E and setup SD-WAN to one of them (Also had to re-config the one on our side)

Worked out cheaper for a new 60E plus 10Mb fibre plus LTE compaired to a managed 4Mb MPLS link

The problem with the Fortigate SD-WAN is the controller.
This was also supposed to be all centrally done via Fortimanager, but due to deadlines they have glued it together.

Ive deployed Meraki, Velocloud, Viptella, Fortinet and Citrix

Each has their place in the market, I am quite a fan of Velocloud though

We looked at VeloCloud and VipTella, VipTella is great, but the price was unfortunately a factor and was too much for us. Forrtigate was the easiest cause we already have a few of them.

Must say, the latest version 6.2 FortiOS has some awesome new features. I wish there was more features in the Manager, I rarely log into ours, set it up 2 years ago, and only log in when upgrading it's own firmware

Awesome, thanks. I've worked with Meraki but meh... Cisco lol

They each have their place, the Meraki dashboard and integration into other network components is pretty good. From a managed service or reduced IT staff it is very good

yeah, pretty much all vendors have their vulnerabilities and issues, such is life

Viptella is an uncertainty because no one really knows what Cisco is going to do with it and if it will be ruined.
Although Velocloud has been purchased by VMware, I believe it will still stay a strong competitor

Fortimanager has grown in leaps and bounds. If you havent used it in 2 years, you should take a look. It is so much more than just a config and log aggregator. The compliance sections are getting better by the day
