Hi,

anyone have experience of this phone?

Is it worth it?

The client need is for communications and a camera is a no-no due to company security fears. This is about the only one of the almost top end phones without a camera.

I think the W950 is a better option, its a M600 with 4GB flash memory, its better looking with no qwerty keyboard, Would def be my suggestion over the M600, bussiness phone or not!;)

The m600 is not bad, its just that the W950 is the same phone but better.

Had a look - it does not have Word/Excel display functionality. Since it is Symbian, I guess that there will be an Acrobat reader for it.

Does the Vodacom version come with a USB cable?

Go Windows Mobile ... you will have the full office compliment ... The Camera API on these devices can be disabled ... you have more options for device security as well ... ranging from simple security features ie .. device password protection and data encryption to remote device access allowing you to wipe the device remotely ...

The other nice thing about the M600 is that the USB cable it comes with also charges the phone. (USB cable included from VC)

I just do not like the touch screen. The normal keypad doubles up as a qwerty. Navigation is a bit odd, until you get to know it.

I still prefer the E61, also no camera, but at least it is a Nokia. The screen is bigger and there are more keys, and no touch screen.

Yip the D60 something cable that you can use to update your own firmware.
All SE phones charge with USB cables.

Most of the newer SE phones comes with USB cables that charges it doesnt it? My w810i, my friend's w850i etc etc

yip .. USB cables consist of 4 wires .. 2 for power and 2 for data transfer
gone are the days of serial connections ...

I'm using the M600i together with another phone (my MNP experience continues....).

It's good for email etc, but it's nowhere as powerful as a Pocket PC device. However it is small, and the touchscreen and handwriting recognition is good for me. The Qwerty keyboard is not so user friendly and it takes a long time to get used to it.

The phone is quite compact which is nice but battery power is not great.

Time for upgrading with VC - and being told they are discontinuing the phone.:(

There don't seem to be many phones with a better keyboard than the standard tap-many-times models.

Depends, I got used to an E61 keypad really quick, then there the P990 and 9-series Nokios.
