Hey guys i need help, i deided to update the Firmware on my phone,
Got it done, happy with the bugs fixed and all untill....
I noticed the sound quality was different and the volume was a bit softer,
tried changing the equaliser settings but still Crappy, So i decided to just live with it,
but a few days later I connected my wired headset to listen to the Radio and...
NO RECEPTION:eek:
It worked perfectly fine before the update!!
:mad::mad::mad:

Now what? Any suggestions
Is there a way to remove the updated firmware?

Are you sure it's the most recent one? At your main menu, open the menu and choose system information. The string under phone should end with R9GA001 and under organizer it should end with R6E28. I updated and had no volume or radio issues at all. Also did you restore a back-up afterwards?

yes, thats the Update i have, thanks for showing me how 2 check:)
So what could it be?
I tried my Friend's Headset and still no reception!
He hasn't updated his firmware and it works and sounds better :mad:
Can i change to an older update? or remove it

There are probably ways of reverting to the old firmware, I'm just not sure how. Post this question at www.esato.com, the guys there should have a better answer.
My suggestion is to do a reset (from other in the control panel), then update again, and do be careful what you restore from a back-up. You can back-up individual apps like contacts, tasks, and calendar from the menu to your memory stick and restore those. Save all your media to a memory stick. You could use the back-up application from the PC suite, but don't use it to restore settings or applications (I'm assuming you used it the first time). In fact try not to use the PC suite back-up at all (perhaps just to restore messages), it often creates conflicts and issues on the P990 after firmware upgrades.
