just got an email from Cybersmart that there's another break in the Seacom cable.
"Seacom has reported a cable break that occurred last night. The damage to the cable is reportedly due to vandalism affecting a 200m length of terrestrial (above ground) cable in Europe. The exact location has not been confirmed. Connectivity will be maintained, although users should expect reduced international connectivity performance during this time.
A repair team is onsite and repairs are underway. We expect services to be restored within the next 3-4 hours.
We will continue to keep you updated on the progress of the outage as information is received.
We expect that performance will be up to speed shortly and appreciate your patience in this regard."
so there we go again...
