How does the seacom cable effect us?
Does it reduce pricing?
Increase speed?
Surly it can only increase speed until the towers bottleneck.
and I dont understand if they give more cap for same price, how does this effect uncapped users?

nah, doesn't affect us...maybe next year it could have a small impact.

ISPs first need to purchase bandwidth on Seacom. Initially, this will mean more reliable connectivity and provide faster international traffic, so in other words, more for your money's worth. Price cuts will come later. Some estimate that we can only really expect a big drop in price by the end of 2010.

I'm guessing that the first ISP that purchases bandwidth on Seacom will advertise the fact that they supply international bandwidth via Seacom.

wasn't there a big hoo ha at neotels datacentre of them testing the bandwidth on the cable?
