You're right, technically we've had HTTP international internet connectivity @ about 50%, but no non-priority traffic has been going through, i.e. torrents, usenet, ect, that's what's working now...downloads are flowing again

This is one of the worst disconnect rates and non-connects I have ever experienced and I've used ALL of the major ISP's except NeoTel and Iburst.

Depending on the circuit it seems some guys got connectivity a while ago. For other's links have only stabilised now.

Depending on the ISP they may wait a while before restoring connectivity via the seacom circuit since if it goes up and down (flapping) it may drop/blacklist their BGP announces.

Wish Seacom would post an update - yesterday morning the internet was perfect as well until it became 07:00 then everything slowed down to such an extent that you couldn't do anything. Anybody know how to see if we are using Seacom again?

When I left home this morning, my downloads were flying again - hope that means that the problem has been fixed. I was getting 421KB/s d/loading news from Astraweb. Hope it stays that way......

This tells me that if the cable repairs have been completed, not everyone / all ISPs are back on the cable. I'm with MWeb. We've had no official report that the repairs have been completed ...
