Seacom Issues

I'm with RSAWeb and I'm having international issues. Been frustrating as hell. I can't do anything I want to do because they either require good latency or zero packet loss

Anyone on Seacom FIA observing packet loss, increased latencies and degraded performance?
Yes. I am. Seriously not impressed with the link. Waiting another week before I consider legal options to terminate contract

These contracts must be many thousand a month and supposedly offer high priority bandwidth?

Yep. 6999/month ex VAT over 3 year period. For 100Mbps. Supposed to be unshaped, unthrottled pure high speed internet.

Lol, for that kind of money it shouldn't be at Afrihost consumer service levels.

Isn't there some kind of clause in the agreement that you get refunded per hour/day that the service level goes below the contracted level?

Yep there is. it's costing me nothing until it's resolved. But still - I'm not looking for free, unreliable throughput. I signed up for pure, unadulterated, unfiltered internet and I don't have it, yet... Not had it since go live. My vox fibre is performing better

That is a good point, those that are prepared to pay for that level of service do in fact need it.

I was wondering if anyone had any additional feedback on Seacom performance?
I'm still experiencing substandard connection performance and I'm wondering if I'm the only one who expects to get what it says on the tin
