American data storage firm Seagate aims to be the market leader in supplying memory to South Africa's booming data centre industry, expected to be valued at R16.15 billion by 2031.
The company is focusing on providing HDD technologies to boost high-capacity storage for AI data centres emerging in the local market, and launched a set of new drives in March 2026 towards that goal.
