Seagate firmware issues

Anybody know if this Seagate 500gig drive needs to be flashed.

Its a ST350084 1NSAR0 thats in a casing and i use it as an exteral drive.

No, your drive is not affected by the firmware bug.

Don't think so. You definately have a problem of some sorts though. Have you checked that you are using a usb2.0 port, tried a different port?

I have no knowledge of the drive but the specs seem fine to me.
