I have an old Seagate GoFlex Home NAS drive that I have some movies, series, photo's and some data on but support is slowly being pulled with some services already discontinued for a while now. It does not work with Windows 10 which I found out when my work laptop was updated from Windows 8 to Windows 10 and Office 365 so I can only access it using my 2013 Apple MacBook Pro. Does anyone use one of these old drives? Does anyone know of how I can possibly make it more useable going forward? I don't really need it as a media server but it would be great to use it for backups and some storage.

Recover what you want from it, then remove the drive from the NAS and use it with external sata usb adapter to your PC, format as NTFS to ensure compatibility with everything.

Thanks, hopefully last resort.

Does the NAS not support FTP?

It apparently does but I am struggling to get access to the setup via IP address/browser due to Adobe Flash

You should be able to force flash... I just tried/tested flash on a random PC and I was able to enable flash and got a random test site to open.

Do you have a How To that I can try? I am no technical IT expert, what I know is dangerous enough for me to fiddle and the rest I Google.

I keep getting an automated image/link loading when I force Flash to run which takes me here...

I do, but it is in my head, based on the fact that I am also not a technical IT expert and what I know is quite dangerous ... and what I don't know, I Google.

I would need to see your screen. We could sit here and go to and fro with screenshots and comments and probably be done in 7 years, or, if you are game, you can download Anydesk and change the settings, as below, and send me the anydesk id sometime and I can help you via that. These settings basically allow me to only see your screen and guide you with a coloured mouse pointer as to where you need to click etc.

My apologies, I completely forgot abut this until today when I remember I had a cross over cable, so I sued it to connect directly from my MacBook to the Seagate WiFi HDD. I managed to get proper access and will use it as a back up external HDD for now and look for a better NAS solution going forward.
