Seagate HDD problem.

Friend of mine gave me a Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 SATA drive that sometimes makes a squeaky noise, so he replaced it. I've checked the warranty on Seagate site is In Warranty

Problem is i don't know who to contact locally.
Please, any help will be very much appreciated.

There are three local distributors:

Ingram Micro
Rectron

They should be able to tell from the serial# if they supplied it.

Speak to your friend to find out where he got it from, and contact them to find out the RMA procedure

Thx guys, i spoke to my friend now and he told me that he can't remember where he bought it. He buys from diff places and the POP seems to be lost.

+1, the distributors (Ingram and Asbis) ponder mentioned would be the people to start with.

Not from Ingram or Asbis, but Rectron found this to be from Corex.
From Corex to Aeon in Kimberley. I phoned Aeon now and they asked me to send them this drive.
