Second hand BMW Z4 - yah or nay?

Get the VIN numbers for the cars you're interested in. Take the VIN numbers to a BMW dealer and ask for the service histories. Pay attention to the "COMMENTS" section of the history.

Glad you stood by your gut for a Z4 after so many naysayers said otherwise.

Looks neat & that gold should be a standout. But couldn't you find a similar one with the infotainment screen? Besides it being very handy it's draw card come resale time.

No, couldn't find one. There is very limited number of hardtops in my budget range to choose from, so this was it.

Funny thing is, i initially dismissed this one because of the "gold" colour, however, when i was at dealership querying VIN numbers, i decided to have a look. Needless to say, this car looks totally different in RL than in the pictures. It has more of champagne/light bronze colour to it, so I was a bit "blown away" by the car and its condition, so decided to take it.

They are much more stricter, esp in the last year of motorplan. So try and spread it over a few months and do a little bit each time.

Yea, that's why I said from Jan, give it a couple months to settle, then take it in for bits and pieces until it expires - a lot of people do everything in the last month, which then puts the car under investigation.

So the salesman phones me to aplogise, since it seems another customer already signed a proof of purchase before me with another salesman, so I am second in line to purchase the car. :mad:

Will have to wait till monday to hear if the other person bought it or not. :mad:

Guess back to the drawing board
