Section 56 Fine : Need advise

Okay so long story short, I got a Section 56 Fine for not coming to a complete stop at at stop street on my 2nd day of my new job. I could not find the fine on paycity to pay it and I was so afraid to ask for time off to go to the police station to pay this. I paid it online but in the local municipal bank account (dumb move) using my fine number as the reference. Fast-forward to today, I get an SMS from paycity reminding me of the court date on the handwritten fine (which has passed). It is now available on ABSA's internet banking to pay, but paycity doesn't allow payment. They say i should go to court, which I am very afraid of doing. What can I do? I emailed the local municipality Customer Care, the acknowledged receipt of my email not sure if they will beable to help.

You made a mistake. Mistakes do not go away and ignoring them only turns them into problems. Off to the Traffic court you go. Go see a prosecutor, Settle out of court or have it squashed.
 
I know it doesn’t just go away. Just afraid of showing up and getting arrested.
