Just Sharing my back and forth with gameservers.com so you guys know what happening and get a feel for their level of support.. Not the most impressed at the moment but they are atleast friendly i guess. Oh and lol guess you know my name now too..

Hi there, this server is taking ages to activate 10 hours+.. my black ops server took less than 10min.. are there any issues with this game at the moment or can you manually activate for me?

Posted 05/10/11 6:18am Please get this sorted out.. I don't want to be charged for time this server is not operational. As far as i know it takes an hour to set up a server.. not 20 hours. Please may i have some feed back. thank you

Posted 05/11/11 5:16am I just thought I should provide a bit more information to you as to what might be causing the problem. Mweb, your hosting partner in South Africa has been having some major network issues this last week.. In games like Black Ops, its down to a routing issue getting stats from overseas. Now im not sure how your content distribution works but if the server files for new games come from abroad they might be intensely slow thus long activation times. Im not sure if you are able to confirm this but I hope it helps you.

If I could offer beer i would but yeah, I got lots of people wanting to play.
The black ops server is 100% by the way. Very happy with it

If this problem is not sorted out soon or if i don't get some actual feedback I would like to cancel my Section 8 server for a refund and I will try again at a later date. I find 17+ hours for feedback on such a matter unacceptable considering it is your bread and butter service....

I checked your other ticket and it's in our lvl3 queue which our admins will get to shortly.
If you wish to cancel you'd have to open a billing ticket requesting the closing of the account.
You can wait until your other ticket is resolved and request credit towards your account for the downtime you've experienced with your server.

This is indeed correct. I started a transfer to the machine before my last reply here and it has been timing out/corrupting. I am afraid moving the server only complicated the issue.
I am attempting another transfer, however. Of course, we will adjust your next invoice date to credit you for the time spent without a server.
