VPN software. But interesting nonetheless. It shows that google is indeed interested in networking, or this is one of their developers' pet projects.

Google has been supposedly buying up "dark" fiber and with Vincent Cerf onboard it is clear that their aim is more than search and the desktop.

Wtf is "dark" fiber? I've seen mention of it in a couple of places now.

The google "secure wifi" client is just a shell. It creates a normal Windows PPTP connection to a server somewhere at cogent communications, and tunnels all your internet traffic thru it.

I'm using it on ADSl atm, and it works 100%. Might be an interesting way to avoid Telkom traffic shaping
