Hi guys,

I have installed some security cams at my home and have the video files that have been recorded, but here's the problem:

They are in .400 format (i.e. the file is called recording001.400) and none of WMP, VLC or GOM player recognises the format or is able to play the file.

Can anyone help?????

Try renaming them to common video formats. Also, if you have the expertise, try opening them in a text editor. That may reveal an audio header.

look for mpeg or moov or similar text in first few lines.

Amazes me how everyone actually tries the same set of things to make things work... I tried exactly that in exactly that order, but no luck!

Nice... you almost thought of that before me :)

Just did and there was a tutorial on their site ... They have an encrypted player which means you can only open that file with their player. Got the player and file played.

Thanks man!!
