Here's the complaint my sister put on hellopeter, which vodacom sent a ref number but no one has called back yet. Is there anybody here from vodacom who can help?

"I currently have a 3G contract with vodacom - on 01012011 my debit was reversed, due to this my line was disconnected, usual cost is 399month,however on 01022011 Vodacom debited me for a total of R882.99 as opposed to R798.During this time I did not receive any notification from Vodacom that the debit order had failed to go through and my statement for January did not show any arrears.

During this period my 3G has not worked, thus I have paid for services I did not receive. I went through to Customer Care and they told me the account was not in arrears but was on pre-legal.
Today a consultant called me and informed me the line was deleted and I need to pay a security deposit for it to be reconnected and that if I did not pay the deposit I would still be charged. He did also state that the deposit would be returned to me in 5 months. However prior to them disconnecting this line no one contacted me to inform me of any action on behalf of vodacom.
However when I signed for this contract no such fee was noted on my contract and as such I refuse to be held accountable for this deposit- if you continue to charge me I expect services."

This is what I dislike from Vodacom - I went overseas for a month and they never once notified me by sms that my account was in arrears - come back in January and to my discovery the line is suspended and I need to pay reconnection fee of R500 I refused as I had 4months to go. Paid up front for the remaining months, got my monthly statement in the post - The account showed a credit of R-340 something, to my discovery 6months later they send me a letter to settle R340 and something, I fought with them even went to VSP and they also noticed the credit R-340 - to my discovery end of the year found out Vodacom listed me on TransUnion. Settled the amount now black listed for 2years, didn't even get notified I was going to get listed did receive an sms with reference number from some law firm, gave them the reference they said it has something to do with absa.... I won't deal with vodacom ever again due to this incident not even a courtesy phone call - even on the land line...

Loyal customer of 15years+ gets bad service - instead of reconnecting the line making him/happy but they have lost me as a client for good on contract.
