Hi all. I just wanted to ask for your suggestions on good, complete internet security suites which don't hog too much memory or slow the system down too much (Windows XP).

I have been using ZoneAlarm 6.1 and it has been working very well, but wanted to find out what else is out there which may be a good choice for my new build. I recently tried the new ZoneAlarm 7 and it is terrible - new architecture hogs insance amounts of memory. Ditto on Norton 2007.

Currently only looking at complete suites as opposed to piecemeal bits of software (i.e. separate AV, firewall, anti-malware etc.). Considering Kaspersky Suite 6, Trend Micro Suite 2007 and McAfee Total Protection (though I have heard it is quite memory intensive too).

Cheers,
X

I must say Norton Internet Security is quite good, I've used it for 30min and I was impressed.

Please dont use Norton's.... it owns your machine in so many bad ways. Recommended suites would be Trend Internet Security or the Nod package. For a free option try Avast.

Mcafee total protection has been protecting our computers for quite and while and its free for a legitimate copy.
