Securty Certs to pursue

HI Guys

Looking for advice what will be decent security cert to pursue for Penetration Testing and general security. The SANS(GAIC)Certs is the goal but i don't think i have the skill yet to pass those exams. The CEH the way I see it(opinion) is a joke learning the tools but no skill involve I don't know that's just my understanding of it maybe a good base
I don't know. CISSP is the ultimate goal.
Will appreciate any advice i can get

Look at http://www.offensive-security.com/ - they have really good courses and its pretty intense Good luck

CISSP.

Ceh is not a bad cert to get. It gives you a good understanding and more important the methodology for pen testing sites.

Also the cissp is the one to get. It's still a few respected cert and generally the guys that have it know their stuff. Maybe after that look at the sans stuff.

CISSP, and then some SANS stuff.
IMHO CISSP for consulting purpose, and the SANS stuff for the more practical side of things.
