I currently reside in two homes. Is it possible to take out one cap that encompassess the bandwidth usage of both houses? Would i have to purchase two indivual telkom lines?Considering telkom's August DSL price cut, would it be cheaper for me to go wireless, with the likes of iBurst, or use conventional DSL?
Any help would be much appreciated.

It depends on how u want to connect and how close these 2 houses are to each other...if they are next door to each other u can use a wireless router over adsl or u can just run an extended network cable to the router...

No, the two houses are in completely different areas. However, we are only ever at one house at any given time, moving from house to house every week.

There's nothing stopping you from using one ISP account between the two installations. In fact a lot of ISPs allow multiple logins which will enable you to use the same account at both houses at the same time.

What you can't do is share the ADSL and line rental charges between the two houses. :p You're still going to have to pay the voice line rental and ADSL rental for each line.

Yeah, just make sure your ISP allows logins from different locations.

You'll need two lines and two routers, but one ISP is enough.

If you can get wireless reception from one of the wireless ISP's at both locations why not do that, it cuts down on paying rental for 2 DSL lines. You'll only need one modem to move between the 2 locations.

I have Voda 3G for much the same reason stay at the g/fs house on weekends and i travel alot.

Thanx guys. I knew iBurst might be an option, but i am wondering as to whether two adsl lines, routers, and an ISP account will be cheaper than iBurst.I intend to get a 384 kbs line with a 3 gig cap, if that helps at all. Please don't go and find exact pricing options, but what does your, uh..gut tell you?
