Not sure if this is the right forum...
I'm looking for a cofounder based in South Africa to assist with the management/development of an organisation I've run for a few years now - www.hyperiondev.com. I've been in the UK for the last few years studying whilst running this part-time, coming back to SA for only a few months a year for important meetings. I'm currently doing research in Machine Learning at Cambridge University, but may return to SA to do this full time former June 2015.
Hyperion has a non-profit and commercial arm (based on the Oxfam model), the former focusing on Massive Open Online Courses for South Africans, and latter conducting workshop training for clients. There are a few thousand users on our online courses at the moment (and we have grant funding from a few sources to expand this), and an ongoing contract with the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research in Pretoria for workshop training of their employees.
A part-time team distributed around SA is also already in place, with training capacity in Durban/Joburg/Cape Town, but I'm looking for a SA-based cofounder who has a complementary skill set to mine (ie getting clients, partners, business, accounting). My background is Computer Science, Natural Language Processing, and Machine Learning. Equity is available, and I'm optimistic about sustaining workshop training. Drop me a message if you're interested!
