Hey guys,

Any financial guru's advice would really be appreciated. I'm trying to decide between 2 Global equity funds, Allan Gray or Coronation. However, I've realized that the Allan Gray unit trust is temporarily closed due to offshore capacity constraints. The funds are rand domiciled.

Is it a good thing that the fund is closed, which implies it has been performing well, and is popular. Should I wait, or is the Coronation the better option. The 2 funds are AG Orbis Global equity feeder fund or the Coronation Global opportunities equity feeder fund.

I've been focusing quite a bit on the Coronation option, as they are surely a displacing Allan Gray on an annual basis. Oh, and before I forget, the investments are for long term, minimum 10 years.

You can go to http://www.fundsdata.co.za/ and do a comparison of the funds within the class in terms of performance, fees etc. Another option is to just invest in the index as it's probably cheaper than most of the funds, DBX MSCI World etf.
