Selection of a Router Network Repeater

I require assistance on the purchase & selection of a Router Network Repeater.
Any good reviewed models which I can be looking at would be appreciated.
Fibre connection point installed to study upstairs, but WiFi signal unable to broadcast to television downstairs.

Do Wi-Fi boosters really work?

With 25Mbit internet you may get away with a wifi repeater but they generally just repeat a bad signal, normally on the same channel as the original wifi network, therefore interfering with the original network also

Depending on your house wiring you may look at powerline ethernet and stick an ap on that
(if your wiring is old or goes across your earth leakage it wont work well)

The Huawei mesh AP's can use the powerlines in the house like this built in but they are pricey

You can look at the other mesh AP's from TPlink etc

If you can rather get an ethernet cable run and use a normal 2nd AP with same SSID on another channel

It's not really a repeater, you'll have to wire to it from your router, uses same SSID as your router. Seamless transition.

Repeaters are generally a nightmare. If possible rather try lay a cable to downstairs and put in a Ubiquity UNIFI AP
