Just got my adsl installed today (sunday!)...

I ordered exactly a month ago and asked for a self-installation, anyway so after numerous problems from telkoms side and lotsa fighting to get through to people who dont **** you around, i get a call from a techie saying self-install isnt available in my area (ye right) and he wants to come now and install. I got the feeling i was never going to get anything installed if i insisted on a self-install (which telkom said was cool from the time of placing the order) so i gave in and just agreed with him.

As i suspected he didnt do jack on my side, just plugged in the modem and told me its sync'ing with the exchange - whoopi.

As a side note, im with cybersmart on their 3gb 192k package for R100pm, and so far it feels like a regular saix account. Getting +-33kb/s intl. and local, and the pings look good:

Havnt tried voip or p2p yet....

I wanted to go with an IS account but I dont have the extra $$$ to pass up 3gb for R100pm :(
