Sell Eskom

Bongani Motsa, a senior economist at the Minerals Council in South Africa, argues that it is time for the government to sell Eskom.
 
While I agree that he is not necessarily wrong, I am uncertain about the likelihood of finding a buyer. It may be more feasible for them to sell off some of their power stations in order to pay off their debt.

How will selling power stations for -R50 pay off their debt?
 
If - hypothetically - it was sold off to someone that fired the deadwood, ended corruption, started the rebuild process - how long would it take before we’re ‘normal’ again?

Never as there is no State support. You need functioning railways and Police to make it work.
 
I'm reading too many DailyInvestor articles today.
 
Don't need to sell just open power supply up to private enterprise and let capitalism do it's thing. Instead of state owned failures lining up like fallen dominoes.
