selling a car privately - correct paperwork/procedure

Hi All

Please advise what paperwork is required to sell a car privately, and the best procedure to follow when doing this.

Any advice appreciated.

As the seller, All you need to do is complete the yellow change of ownership form (with the buyer) and submit it to your local license department within 21 days for the sale. Take you ID with. Make sure you pay any outstanding fines on the vehicle or they wont be able to do the change.

All other forms, i.e licensing etc is to be completed and submitted by the buyer
