Send / Receive Files Between iPhone & Any Other Device Via Bluetooth With Celeste

I suggest people wait just a little bit, Celeste is still very very buggy, wait till they have worked out the major kinks (but if you only want to pay 7$, then go for it now). So far I have only succeeded in sending and receiving files between my iphone and my mac
 
Seems to work with Nokia phones quite well so far. Blackberry recognizes it but does not connect for transfers. I think these may be sorted with future updates.
 
Isn't the whole point of bluetooth simple interoperability? Why doesn't this "just work" on a tech that's been around for like 10 years now?
 
Good question. Think it has to do with the BTStacks. Apple never designed their bluetooth to be anything more that a way to connect external devices, not for file transfers. So most of the developers need to write their own BTStacks or use the generic ones available on cydia. I remember iBlueNova. That seemed to work pretty good, but never did cross over to iOS 4XX
