Sending SMS From Contract Sim

Good Day Guys

I have a virgin mobile contract with 1000 free sms's per month. Does virgin mobile have an api that I can use to send smses using a desktop or web app?
Has anyone dealt with this kind of thing before?

I would stick the SIM card in a GSM Modem and use software that can talk to the GSM modem. I played around with a VB.NET app talking to the GSM modem by means of a third party GSM Control. You can even write your own integration to the GSM modem.

Careful you don't get caught...
Virgin's unlimited promotion (which changed into this 1000) specifically states that the SMS's are only allowed to be used from a phone and for NON business purchases. Which is pretty ridiculous considering how much these companies rape us for SMS's.

Thanks for the replies, it would only be sending out about 10-15 smses a month anyway but was hoping to automate the process when certain parameters are reached.
