Senior Business analyst - Contacts required.

I have a colleague that is a senior business analyst and has some significant references, Medical Research Council being one.

He is able to communicate with client and then take information through to developers and then spec the system for them from scratch.
He was contracted to a nationwide company (details withheld) to design, spec and develop their latest POS and stock system which was finalised and was then terminated due to budget constraints.
He has been project manager for said system.

Unfortunately he is a tad pale for most companies and wrong side of 50 for others.
I thought I'll try here to see what if I can get some leads or contacts for him.

Has he perhaps tried UCS? They do the entire POS and Back Office system for Vodacom that is used in our Vodashops.

Yes, I know them quite intimately and know all the right people. AFAIK they're not recruiting BA's at the moment.

Why doesn't he start his own consultation firm? He's got enough experience and contacts and by being contracted the skin and age issues are mostly irrelevant.
