Typical duties include:
- Works with project team to define and create overall strategy and ensures that it is being achieved
- Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities to move requirements from inception to production
- Communicating with a team that includes stakeholders, other developers and quality analysts in order to coordinate and document application development including testing and creation of test plans
- Obtain and maintain a deep working knowledge of the systems on which you work to enable mentorship and knowledge sharing opportunities
- Recommending system changes and enhancements
- Documenting software specifications and training users
Required skills:
- Backend / server-side development experience and able to write solid code which is readable, maintainable and scalable.
- Design and specification experience
- Able to provide solid input in architectural decisions
- Web service (creation and integration) experience. WCF necessary; Web API and Legacy ASMX useful.
- .NET 4.5+ using C# and ASP.NET
- MS SQL / T-SQL experience
- JavaScript
- jQuery
- Knowledge of Agile Development
- History and knowledge of creating high performance, robust systems
Highly Preferable:
- MVC (preferably 5), including responsive design
- Bootstrap
- Additional JavaScript libraries always beneficial
- Involvement in an automated deployment environment
- Secure coding practices (understanding password management, hashing etc.)
- Diploma / certification / degree in software related field
