The applicant should meet these requirements:
•Matric or equivalent and relevant tertiary qualification
•6+ years of solid, systems administration proficiency with Microsoft products
•2+ years of SQL Server 2005/2008 experience preferred
•MCITP certifications are preferred including
•2 yrs+ System Center experience especially SCOM, SCCM and Orchestrator/Opalis
•Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, WAN/LAN, IIS, Active Directory,
•MS Security Model Frameworks, MS Exchange,
•Powershell and/or Perl scripting, McAfee administration, RightFax, FTP technologies and Citrix experience is highly advantageous
Competencies Required
•Relevant experience and qualifications in Systems Administration
•Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities
•Relevant technical abilities and knowledge of MS Windows 2008 R2, 2012 R2 and TCP/IP networking and general switching technologies
•Proven ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
•Scripting experience highly advantageous
The Incumbent will be responsible for:
•Performing Network and system maintenance.
•Acting as primary 3rd line support contacts for all Server related issues
•Resolving issues relating to 3rd line support functions with Windows Servers, Active Directory, Exchange Server and ancillary systems (including low level network support).
•Reporting on system performance and utilization, designs, upgrades, and scale systems to meet growth demands
•Creating and maintaining accurate documentation of system hardware and
software configuration for all systems.
•Maintaining a Win 2008 R2/2012 R2 environment
•A drive to proactively build and maintain rock solid enterprise systems and networks
•The maintenance of the 'health' of the HP based computer systems currently in use and the improvement of the uptime and performance of systems
•Assisting with the design, development, implementation and maintenance of systems to cater for the needs of daily operations of the business.
•Monitoring critical Windows Systems and taking preventative actions as required
•Drawing up ad hoc weekly reports for the relevant Management personal.
•Monitoring online system performance
•Assisting with user queries with regards to response of systems and availability
•Assisting users
