Senior / Mid Level Java Developer

[Travelstart]

Location: Travelstart Head Office based in Cape Town.

The key deliverables in this role will be to:
• Delivery of code and technical solutions in line with use cases provided.
• Collaborate with team to come up with solutions and ideas.

Listed below are the minimum requirements with regards to skills, competencies and abilities needed for this role:
• No less than 4 years experience in a pure Java Role;
• Exposure to JEE;
• Extensive XML processing experience;
• Experience with Web Services integration;
• Experience in a scripting language such as Scala, Ruby, or Python a bonus;
• Experience with databases e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, exposure to NoSQL db a bonus;
• Experience with JUnit or similar code testing tools;
• Experience with Gradel or similar build tools;
• Ability to work in an agile environment;
• Work with minimal specifications;
• Having a DevOps mindset; and
• Continuous Integration experience a bonus.
