Who are they?
My client’s primary focus is on developing interactive communication and marketing solutions utilising the mobile channel. They are based in Westlake. They are looking to hire a senior PHP/Web developer to join their growing web backend development team.
What will you do?
The developer is to join the small current development team and will be tasked with feature and maintenance work on the current project suite, all built around the LAMP stack. The idea would also be to improve upon older legacy systems with newer coding approaches.
There is also a drive towards developing native mobile applications, meaning that the potential for learning and implementation is also there.
Work from home and flexi time are options in this position!
Can you apply?
• Completed University Computer Science degree or formal 3 year Diploma
• 3 - 5 years’ experience using and implementing the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
• Experience needed with:
o PHP (exposure to MVC is a plus)
o HTML
o CSS
o Javascript
o jQuery
o Web 2.0 technologies (AJAX, JSON, etc.)
o SQL (in application on MySQL database)
o SVN/GIT for code management
o Bonus: exposure to Java/Ruby on Rails/GIMP
