Hi all,
We have a vacancy for a senior PHP programmer!
We specialise in school administration systems, and are looking for someone to help us improve the lives and experience of the hard-working people in the education industry in this fine country of ours.
Like many development houses, we do have some cross-pollination of technologies and systems, but the majority of our work is done in PHP and MySQL on a LAMP stack, with standard supporting technologies - HTML, CSS, Javascript & JQuery.
Candidates must be dedicated, pro-active, and all those other buzz words. Honestly we are looking for someone who is passionate about programming and problem solving, who takes pride in their work, and who wants to grow. You will need sufficient motivation and ambition to work on your own initiative. The emphasis here truly is on passion!
Due to internal needs we are looking for someone who already has solid experience and will not require training on the core technologies. You will work alongside mentors who will provide exposure and knowledge of the existing systems and environment.
Job Specs:
Skills
Required: OOP, PHP, MySQL, Javascript & JQuery, HTML, CSS
Advantageous: Experience with Linux, Git, API Development, Data Modelling
Qualification and Experience
Required: 5+ years professional work experience developing commercial PHP web-based systems
Advantageous: BSc Computer Science or equivalent
Selection Conditions
Candidate must be able to demonstrate requisite skills by answering theoretical questions and completing a practical assessment.
Remuneration Guideline
R 35 000 - R 45 000 CTC / month - As always, this is an estimate based on skill and experience.
Location
Pretoria East. Once you are up to speed and self-sufficient we allow you to work where you are most productive as far as possible (home, office, etc).
Working Hours
8 hours per day / 40 hours per week.
Please send CV and supporting documentation to jobs@principalsoftware.co.za - You are also welcome to send through any questions regarding the position.
Much appreciated
Patric
