Are you looking for a senior development role that will also allow you to travel internationally and manage a small team of junior developers?

Do you want a flat management structure and work in a self-managed, self-motivated team?

Then this opportunity might just be it!

Who are they?

My client is a fast moving start-up that provides Internet services and applications aimed at the billions of people in developing markets using mobiles phones. Their focus is on speed and utility. They reach millions of users per month and are growing fast. Their aspirations are big and this role would especially suit someone that is willing to grow with the task.

They are expanding their operations from Sydney, Australia to Cape Town and need to build a team who will help take their user engagement to the next level through 2014. They need smart people to add high quality, fun, engaging features and content to the product experience as well as enhance their existing suite of applications.

What will you do?

From a development perspective, you will focus on enhancing existing applications as well as designing and developing new features and apps on their platform. Building for scalability and robustness are key requirements as they grow. As a senior member of the team, you will also be required to mentor and lead other new members of the Cape Town development team as they are recruited.

You will have the opportunity to travel overseas, such as to their Sydney headquarters for training and/or project work with their core development team, where required.

Can you apply?

• 5-10 years’ experience with the following:
• PHP, Java, Perl, Python, Shell
• Mobile/Web application development, WAP, WML, HTML
