What will I do every day?
The Senior Project Manager and Business Analyst will work within the consulting team. The emphasis on the dual aspects of this role will vary from project to project and month to month. The role spans all phases of a customer engagement from pre-sales to requirements gathering to project planning right through to delivery.
• Project management with all its associated tasks and responsibilities including: planning, resourcing, reporting, issue resolution, expectation management, escalations etc.
• Ably represents, interface with and engage the customers
• Work with sales to prepare proposals – in the area of scope, functional requirements, costing, timelines etc.
• Work with Solutions Managers and Customer Success Managers to understand customer requirements and advise on best practice solutions
• Makes business decisions and clearly communicates requirements
• Work with Global Account Manager to build and maintain good customer relationships
• Communicates status outside the team
• Overseas travel to customers 2 to 3 times a year
• Creates, maintains the Product Backlog for larger projects
• Prepares functional requirements specifications when required
• Participates in project planning, daily stand-up meetings (scrums), reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other project related meetings
• Ensure issues are escalated timeously and appropriately
• Reviews deliverable and demonstrable code and has the authority to accept or reject
• Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
• Is always accessible and participates proactively and constantly in the team activities
• Steers the project to ensure delivery of business value
• Is visible, vocal, and objective
