Hi all,
We are looking for a senior Postgres DBA for a contract position in Johannesburg. The contract will be a least 6 months but may be indefinite depending on client requirements. Applicants must have the following Postgres skills.
At least 3-5 years of Postgres DBA experience preferred. Salary is negotiable depending on market conditions and on the candidates degree of fit with the requirements and level of experience. The target salary range is R300,000 - R420,000 cost to company per annum.

- Tests Backups by restoring
- Verify and confirm settings across servers
- Verify Replication settings
- Upgrade postgres engine on servers
- Configure DB and tune performance
- Basic export and import skills
- Perform routine maintenance tasks
- Monitor database performance. implement improvements and suggest changes to developers,
- Linux knowledge
