What do I need to know to get this job?
• Relevant IT tertiary qualification
• ISTQB/ISEB certified
• Recognised testing qualification / accreditation and / or training in testing disciplines
• Minimum 5+ years’ testing experience testing enterprise solutions
• Proven experience in QA Testing (identifying test conditions, creating test plans and test cases / scripts from project documentation)
• Good understanding of STLC and processes
• Good understanding of SDLC and processes
• Good understanding of testing governance
• Experience in managing defects and its life cycle
• Test Documentation skills
• Web based software testing
• Passionate about testing
• Excellent organizational & planning skills
• Proactive: Delivery focused
• Good communication skills across all levels. Able to communicate complex, technical concepts to all levels.
• Beneficial:
• Experience with Agile methodology and more specifically of Scrum framework
• Microsoft TFS experience
• Working Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint 2010/2013
• Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 2010/2013
• Test Automation experience
What will you do every day?
• Apply agreed company testing techniques. Test software / system within timeline. Track defects.
• Assist with the preparation for other phases of testing, for example user acceptance testing.
• Prepare Test Plans and Test Summary reports as and when required.
• Ensure issues are escalated timeously and appropriately resolved.
• Provide product quality Information.
• Generate test case matrixes.
• Test Data Setup.
• Plan for manual testing: write, execute manual test cases. Maintain test suits.
• Plan for regression testing: write, execute manual regression test cases. Maintain regression test suits.
• Plan for automation testing.
• Plan for performance testing.
• Use structured techniques to solve fundamental problems within one's own work.
• Works under the general guidance of Team Leads within the team, with occasional consultation and collaboration.
• Provide estimates for test effort required for sprint work / user stories.
• Log, prioritize and resolve defects using defect tracking tool.
• Communicate defects to rest of team.
• Define root cause and preventative actions for production defects.
• Provide test progress transparency to rest of team.
• Participate in scrum team sessions, including daily stand-ups.
• Pro-actively drive continuous improvement in scrum team
