SNR WEB DEVELOPER
We are looking for a focused, self motivated and dynamic individual to join the Software Development Team. Our company is based in Cape Town, Century City area. Your role as web author includes but is not limited to the following:
Key duties will include but not be limited to:
• Designing, maintaining and implementing website coding architecture and new features as required
• Coding for the creation of new and maintenance of existing websites
• Some level of Back-end Development will be required
• Proposing website solutions as required
• Coding and testing of mailers to best practice standards
• Working with web author team for quality control and coding guidelines
• Follow intellectual property guidelines for the various brands
• Consultation with client to ensure understanding of brief/product requirements
Job Competencies required to carry out these duties:
• Minimum 4 years relevant experience
• Relevant degree/ diploma
• Firm grasp of Visual Studio, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SEO principles
• Firm grasp of Photoshop / Fireworks and Flash advantageous
• Knowledge and experience with MVC, ASP.NET and C# advantageous
• Proven experience in internet technology and website design – HTML and Back-End Development
• Firm grasp of Microsoft technologies
• Must be multi-skilled and / or willing to learn and apply new technologies and languages
• Be able to work alongside Development team to integrate application code into websites and or web applications
Personal competencies:
• Must be able to work in a deadline driven environment combined with a high level of attention to detail
• Deal with stressful situations in a mature manner
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of colleagues
• Must be flexible in a rapidly changing environment
• Ability to multi-task on a continuous basis
• A team player
• Trouble shooting and problem solving
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to teach and relay ideas and focused on knowledge sharing
• Solution and results orientated
• Be prepared to work in a 24/7 environment
