Our client, a leading corporate based in Midrand is currently recruiting a Senior BI Report Developer to join their team.
Candidates will be required to competently fulfill the following responsibilities:
Develop BI Reporting Framework:
Ensure effective Customer Relationship Management
Delivery of Reports
Compliance
Adhere to and comply with all internal audit and risk policies and procedures

- Develop the reporting framework for the company and translating these into automated reports and dashboards needed to support the business decision needs
- To actively manage the process of project and business performance reporting to internal and external stakeholders of the company
- Provide guidance to the BI resources that will deliver the infrastructure to support the companies BI requirements
- To ensure that business intelligence is automated, performed accurately, timeously and complies with standards
Candidates will be required to competently fulfill the following responsibilities:
Develop BI Reporting Framework:
- Gather and analyse necessary data related to business and project performance and progress
- Design appropriate reporting standards for all reports and dashboards
- Manage the ICT and Business Performance SharePoint site
- Ensure documentation sharing via SharePoint and other platform
- Provide adhoc reports according to agreed standards and formats
Ensure effective Customer Relationship Management
- Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders to determine their reporting requirements
- Ensure the accuracy and validity of information on the respective reports
Delivery of Reports
- Develop and distribute required reports/dashboards within the agreed time, quality and formats
- Enable an automated process for requesting and tracking the development of new BI frontends
- Develop a self-service capability for users to satisfy their standard reporting and analytic needs
- Ensure reporting and storage of information adheres to companies Information Security Policy
- Development of BI mobile apps
Compliance
Adhere to and comply with all internal audit and risk policies and procedures
Minimum Requirements
- +5 years BI Dashboard and Reporting experience. Microstrategy experience recommended.
- Expert knowledge of BI systems development lifecycle (minimum 5 years’ experience)
- Experience in a service and/or financial industry
- Comprehensive SQL skills
- Expert knowledge of project / programme management software
- Technical knowledge of BI / MS Office systems
- Formal project management and SDLC methodology experience
- Advance data analytic skills
- Sound knowledge and experience of business intelligence principles, data warehouse and data governance practices
- Expert knowledge of Reporting tools and techniques. Microstrategy experience recommended.
Knowledge and skills required:
- Planning methods and techniques – ability to define work breakdown structure and provide estimates of effort involved
- Business and data analysis
- Data access techniques including writing complex stored procedures
- Systems testing experience
- Programming – to standards and maintainable code writing
- Data access techniques including writing complex stored procedures
- Inspections/code reviews – good understanding of the language, data access best practise, programming standards, technical environment, application of programming languages
- Debugging tools – knowledge of what is available, capabilities
R50 - 68 000.00 per month
