i am running windown xp home and my signal breaks more often on this platform than on professional. when it does break then the computer stalls and a hard restart is needed. anyone find this problem. My hard drive also recently crashed. i am not sure it is all linked. hard drive was only 14 months old .

uninstall your USB devices and any drivers related to them.
reinstall your usb devices one by one with Sentech being your first device to install.
If the sentech modem is your only usb device then humour yourself and try it anyway.
if that doesnt work revert to Luke7777's post above this one or phone Sentech to confirm.

During the making of MySignal I had major hassles with Xp Home and W2K.
Win98 you can frig and Xp Pro Sp1 gives no hassels.
Xp Pro SP2 also gives hassles and my PC at work I actually had to dump SP2 because of this which meant a reformat as the CD came with SP2 and I could not remove it.

Are you sure this isn't something to do with the Hyperthreading problem? I turned Hyperthreading off on machines where we had this problem and the problem has gone away.

ProAsm - your stuff is cool. Tell me, how do i read my signal strength in a percentage or figure.
p.s as i got a new hard drive i re installed everything, drivers etc. had the same prob before as now. maybe i need to change operating system.
