Hi everyone
Just a special note to all those members who are contract subscribers of Sentech's MyWireless.
If your contract has expired please note that you will continue paying the full contract price and not the reduced rate (out of bundle) pricing for the service.
So in other words if you signed up for a 24 month contract (to get the free modem) for a 256k connection for R849.00 per month and your contract has been completed most people would expect that the monthly pricing should reduce to the unbundled price of R699.00 per month however THIS IS NOT THE CASE!
For the past 4 months Sentech has been charging me at the contract/bundle price. On discovering this I spoke to their support and accounting departments that informed me that it is the CUSTOMERS responsibility to ensure Sentech's billing is correct and that the CUSTOMER must request the price decrease before it will be changed.
To add insult to injury Sentech refuses to refund the overcharged amounts for the past months only passing a credit for the current month stating that this is standard practice.
So if your contract has expired and they're overcharging you I suggest you send them a fax today to avoid the loss !
I'm fortunate to have my company pay for my internet connection at home so ADSL here I come!
