There is currently an advert on ITWeb's site for sentech;

BEST BROADBAND INTERNET

3G ON THE GO.
Megabytes without the megabucks.
Flexible contracts.

Available in a range of packages from
200 to 10 000MB.
In selected areas of Gauteng, Durban, Cape Town and Nelspruit.

Best Broadband? Looking through the Sentech subforum I don't think they can back that claim up... Who normally reports these people to the advertising board?

I wonder if they stopped the Classic range because it is actually to slow to be called broadband now?

/Didn't know where to post this so feel free to move it if it's in the wrong place.

The part that rubs me the wrong way is the "Megabytes without Megabucks!" part. That part is clearly FALSE.

We've been through this before. They lie in their advertising - remember when the classic products were named "MyWireless 128kbps"?

Then people complained so they renamed it. Yeah, rather than fix the problem, just rename it to not include any indication of speed - Standard, Premium and Ultimate or something.

The next name change is from "MyWireless Flexi" to "Steaming pile of crap". I'm sure they'll make the announcement shortly.

:D

Picture it, two kids in the playground:
"I've got ADSL384!"

"Yeah? Well I've got Steaming Pile Of Crap Ultimate Platinum package!"

Intersting - if you send that to ASASA you could probably get Sentech into big piles of poop, cuz about two years ago a bunch of us users complained to ASASA and won forcing iburst not to use the term broadband and to change their product names - cuz lets face it mywireless(insert lie here) was just a crock of marketing crap.

so yeah... it's really simple. fire off an email to ASASA, they respond asking more info and bam - you have inconvenienced the scum.

phew i thought after a couple of years sentech would wake up and fix things... well to Michell Potgieter and the gang. Sentech Suxs.
