Sentech FAQ & ping times

OK..malec you've solved that one for me. Your SNL is very decent.
As for average.. I'm looking at the actual pings... so it's not that.
The only other explanation is the fact that BOP is VERY new... and I'm probably
one of the very few users using this tower?
But if this is the case... it shows that the "pinging" bottle neck is the tower and not
the other infrastructure.

This thread has gone a bit of topic. I know it's my tower. They point was that I should be able to rape sentech to my satisfaction because they clearly state that your ping should be between 40ms and 120ms. I don't even get a minimum of 120ms

Something else.... If the IPW technology can handle up to 2000 users per sector
(according to IPW themselves), and there are probably about that number of MW users
in the entire country, something is out of wack.
Maybe the problem is Fastcomm.... a company that fails to impress, (they can't even
figure out a decent tower numbering scheme). Maybe they are simply in over their heads...
and can't get the technology right! It's quite possible!!

They can get around that.. and tell you the site was intended for "near" servers or something like that. since they don't specify a distance or a server they can say it was to the tower.. which has its own IP.

I must say I wouldn't trust anyone that number the towers in that way with a lollipop

I understood that the tower does NOT have it's own ip??

If only Sentech would not have outsourced this MW solution.
They are a company with very good engineering skills
(I won't commment on their executive management skills though!!)
yet they don't even allow their staff to go near the towers!!
Maybe fastcomm fear something????

The wording indicates that it will be the radius server being worked on ... Guess I'm just hoping for TOO much technical info when I get a notification ;-)
