SENTECH guarentees MINIMUM speed

Ditto...... might aswell use dial up then......will be cheaper in the long run....

I hope they dont do this as they will just shoot themselves in the foot that is wedged down there thoat right now......hint hint nudge nudge wink wink say NO MORE Winston.....

well the limit is currently 4.2kbps so I don't see how they could do any worse, touch wood ...

means nothing also if they dont say "the limit is 4KBytes/sec, if you get less than that we will refund you". Otherwise its just another empty promise (I predict the latter)

Guys at a 30:1 ratio they will guarantee 4kilobits/sec which is equal to 0.5 kiloBytes/sec

Which means you will get double the guaranteed speed using a 9600 modem and therefore it definately aint BROADBAND and as Chris Gibbons mentioned you will do better with a "runner and a cleft stick"

If they actually are stupid enough to release this in a Media statement then they might aswell write off the investment in the technology and place the equipment on eBay and take what they get for it..... No consumer is going to pay for a minimum guaranteed service at that speed....

If they do this i dont think they would be able to hold us to the contract or i would initiate a class action law suit against them.......

Message to Sentech.....yes you have had problems and yes, you are in the ****.....please dont take further action to get yourself in any deeper...... think before you talk....

Just work with the USERS

IMHO, Sentech already guarantee minimum speed, as in:
"With Dialup, you will get around 80% of 56K"
"With ISDN, you'll get at least 80% of 128K"
"With Sentech, you are guaranteed to get the minimum speed"

Does this mean that they are going to attack poor Rodent?

The fluken sh1ts.

If rodent needs money to fight sentech, i am willing to offer the value of 3 months of my sentech subscription fees as a start to pay for lawyers just as a start. Its a principle thing.

Rodent aint interested in the lawyer route. Its just not the way. Sentech are pretty powerful with their government ties and all.

The closed doors meeting is a good idea. Sentech can seriously benefit from experienced user input. Where else can they find people that have been continously testing their product day in day out for months?
