Can anyone tell me how Sentech (particularly for MyWireless) gets in and out of the country, ie do they use their 'own' satellites, or do they (have to) use Telkom pipes?

The latter.

They do however, also offer a satellite service

Hi,

Sentech makes use of IS (Internet Solutions) International Backhaul and for local acess they use MTN NS's Infrastructure/Backhaul.

They also make use of PanAmSat's satellite connectivity for back-up purposes.

So they don't use Telkom or do they use some of Telkom's bandwidth?
