Sentech Legal Question

The latest version is Win 2000/XP compatible.
See: http://www.dslreports.com/drtcp

If I recall correctly, when you start it up it will show
your current default values.

Inevitable, are you still running edonkey? I have found that my downloads are fine if I am not also uploading (which all p2p apps do). Try stop anything which is uploading info and see if your downloads are better. If I am running emule my connection crawls, also using a voip app such as skype, I can hear fine but the other party cannot hear me.

I’m having the exact opposite problem on Skype.
They hear me perfectly (in LA)but I can only hear
them for a few seconds at a time???

I am also downloading slowly tonight. I think its because all of you guys/women are on. Oh to have it all to myself.

A good site to obtain TCP optimizer is http://www.speedguide.net/

I am using an MTU of 1430 and this was confirmed by TCPoptimzer, however my TCP recieve window is 100000 and they recommend 255552, but I am quite happy ate the moment so I will leave it alone. I have used Dr tcp up to now, but this is a better bit of software and easy to use and only about 450k

I am on linksfield tower 110,i had problems previous week ,but this last week i got between 60k and 113k(!!) on www.bandwidthplace.com test.

downloading at 5-15

so at moment i am ok

I've been playing around with the TCP Receive setting.
The increase to 255552 greatly reduced the throughput.
100000 seems to be more ideal.

I disagree, I had an MTU of 1500 a few months ago, and I could not recieve anything from certain sites as the packet sizes were not matching what I was recieving. Thats when I started investigating and found it has a major role to play. There are two MTU's on Win 2000 and XP and these are required to be set for connecting to any system. Go to www.speedguide.net and down load the software and check. It tests the MTU size by sending packets of information.
