I went through to Sentech, fill in the application form for the second time, and walk out with a loan Mywiresless modem and logon code.

I've been using it now since last week Thursday and had only 1 disconnection.

No problem with speed, [after 6 months of using Telkom ISDN, paid a lot to stay online, been charged R100.00 for each call-out, sometimes my bill ran up to R2000.00] I must say this is better that a slice of Cheese Cake.

In my area I only pick-up a 20% signal for mywiresless and still it is 100% better and faster than ISDN.

I have been testing it night and day and had no problems with my connection accept for once that the connection dropped, but it was back on in 5 seconds.

Before applying for the service, Sentech came out to my address and test the signal for me. I do have an option of 3 basestations to pick up a signal.

For those people who struggle with Telkom service, I can recommend Sentech all the way.

Dude, how the HELL did you get a loan modem? While we wait 2 WEEKS!!!

screw this, my patience is wearing real thin, I'm going to inist they let me pick up my modem or else!

noone, maybe Josandre paid someone off :P
I'm sure the reason why we cant pick up the modem there is that they dont keep the stock there, but probably some other place (wich will still be nice to go fetch)

I wonder if I push R200 under the counter maybe they will make it go through quickly ;)

sentech say you speaking nonsense... no one allowed to pick up from them or even come apply with them in person... what is real fun is i laid an offical complaint against them with the advertising standards authority. they advertise like 3 days, well 2 weeks later and i cant even get them to return a call.... good thing i work for the media... this is going to get nasty now... oh and i know they read myadsl, wont mention the name of the helpdesk person who told me about it....

So if you work for the media where the hell have you been while we are trying to get Telkom to jack up its service.
